Background
EMSTEEL Group has signed a collaboration agreement with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII) to advance high-strength reinforcement solutions aimed at enhancing the protection and resilience of the UAE’s critical infrastructure.
The agreement establishes a framework for both organisations to jointly assess and validate the performance of EMSTEEL’s ES600 high-strength rebar under demanding impact and protection scenarios. It also creates a pathway for developing specialised reinforcement grades engineered for resilience-critical applications across strategic national assets and essential public infrastructure.
EMSTEEL Group CEO Eng Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi said the collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to advancing innovation that supports the UAE’s long-term infrastructure and industrial priorities, and that combining advanced steel manufacturing expertise with TII’s research capabilities would create the foundation for next-generation reinforcement solutions for the nation’s most critical assets.
TII CEO Dr Najwa Aaraj said the partnership brings together TII’s strengths in material characterisation, advanced simulation and impact-response assessment with EMSTEEL’s steelmaking expertise, to build a scientific foundation for next-generation solutions developed in the UAE to safeguard national infrastructure.
The collaboration supports EMSTEEL’s broader strategy of expanding high-performance steel solutions across increasingly sophisticated applications while contributing to the UAE’s ambition to build a globally competitive, innovation-driven industrial economy.
