Background
Airport Show 2026 will focus on digitalisation, automation and sustainable technologies as airports across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) invest in new infrastructure and passenger services.
The event will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre from October 12 to 14. It will bring together airport authorities, civil aviation leaders, operators, consultants and technology providers to discuss new projects, procurement and operational solutions.
Global air passenger traffic is expected to exceed 12 billion by 2030, putting pressure on airports to increase capacity, but also to improve efficiency and passenger experience. Airports are also moving towards smarter and greener operations as technology changes how terminals and airside facilities are designed and managed.
GSE Zone will feature electric, smart and autonomous ground support equipment at the event. Technologies will be discussed that would help reduce emissions, increase safety and efficiency of airport processes.
dnata is assisting in the GSE Zone as airports have increased usage of ground handling technologies. dnata is providing 800 new GSE units in 10 countries with an investment of $110 million. It is also replacing diesel-powered equipment with hybrid and electric alternatives and testing autonomous baggage equipment in the UAE.
Airport Show 2026 is expected to feature more than 150 exhibitors and 150 buyers from over 20 countries. More than 7,000 visitors from over 30 countries are expected to attend.
The event will also host the Global Airport Leaders’ Forum, Airport Security Middle East, ATC Forum and Women in Aviation Middle East Conference.
Organisers said future airports will combine flexible infrastructure, advanced technology and environmentally friendly systems to deliver smoother passenger experiences and more efficient operations.
