Background
Bahrain-based fintech company Benefit has signed a service agreement with AMAN, Bahrain’s compliance platform, to adopt its system in support of Benefit’s compliance, due diligence and financial crime prevention activities.
The agreement sets out the framework for Benefit to use AMAN’s platform, which is powered by global financial crime management firm Themis, to manage its anti-money laundering, compliance and financial crime risk-related processes. The platform combines onboarding, due diligence, screening and risk assessment into a single system, offering greater visibility over cases and assessments while improving the accuracy, consistency and efficiency of regulatory and compliance operations.
Benefit Chief Executive Abdulwahed AlJanahi and AMAN Group Chief Executive Officer Dickon Johnstone signed the deal at Benefit’s headquarters, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
AlJanahi said the agreement forms part of Benefit’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the tools and systems supporting its commitment to strong governance and compliance standards. He noted that as financial crime risks continue to evolve, organisations need more advanced solutions capable of bringing information together, analysing it effectively and enabling timely oversight. He added that the partnership responds to the growing need for integrated technology that manages data, assessments and regulatory processes within one framework, helping streamline onboarding and due diligence while maintaining strong regulatory rigour.
Johnstone said AMAN’s mission is to strengthen Bahrain’s financial ecosystem and reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a trusted international financial centre, adding that Benefit’s central role in that ecosystem makes it a natural partner. He said the collaboration will enhance financial crime prevention capabilities and support Bahrain’s continued alignment with local and international standards, while reflecting AMAN’s commitment to practical solutions that strengthen governance and organisational readiness across financial institutions.
