Background
Exits MENA will acquire Avanz Capital Egypt from its existing management, expanding its private capital operations across Egypt and the MENA region. The deal, valued in the multi seven figure range, has received initial no objection from Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority as both parties proceed through the regulatory process.
The acquisition marks a major shift for Exits MENA, which has built its business around investment advisory, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and investment readiness support for startups and SMEs. Adding Avanz Capital Egypt brings private equity and asset management capabilities into the group for the first time.
Haytham Wagih, who serves as CEO and Managing Director of Avanz Capital Egypt, will stay on to lead its operations once the deal closes, giving investors and portfolio companies continuity through the transition.
Founded in 2022 by Mohamed Abuelnaga Nagaty, Ayman El Tanbouly and Ahella El Saban, Exits MENA has expanded its regional footprint by connecting businesses with investment and advisory services across several markets.
Avanz Capital Egypt is expected to be renamed Exits Manara, becoming the group’s private capital and asset management arm. The subsidiary will keep managing Manara 1, its existing fund of funds for SMEs, while plans move ahead for Manara 2, a proposed vehicle for mid sized Egyptian businesses expanding abroad.
Exits MENA said it would maintain separation between advisory mandates and investment decisions, positioning the group for a wider role in Egypt’s private capital ecosystem as startups and SMEs continue to face financing constraints.
