Background-
Talabat Egypt has opened the largest express commerce distribution centre in the Middle East and North Africa region, marking a major expansion of its logistics and delivery network. The facility is located in a major logistics hub on the Cairo–Suez Road and is expected to strengthen the company’s operations across several cities.
The centre covers around 27,000 square metres and can process up to one million items per day. It currently supports Talabat Mart operations across 12 cities, with plans to expand to 17 cities.
The facility has been developed with Hassan Allam Utilities to support the growth of express commerce. It has around 75,000 storage spaces and can double its capacity if needed.
Talabat uses real-time systems to connect inventory, retail, and supply chains. It also uses internal tools to forecast demand, manage stock and automate processes, helping improve efficiency and faster delivery.
Talabat Egypt plays a central role in the company’s regional structure. It employs around 3,100 people, including teams working across multiple markets through its technology and shared services hub. The Egypt-based operations also handle a large share of the company’s regional support services and contribute to platform development across markets.
The launch reflects Talabat’s continued investment in logistics infrastructure and highlights its focus on strengthening express commerce capabilities across the MENA region as demand for fast delivery services continues to grow.
