Saudi Arabia’s total international trade rose to SR540.5 billion ($144.3 billion) in the third quarter of 2025, recording an 8.6 percent annual increase compared with SR497.5 billion in the same period last year, according to the General Authority for Statistics. Both oil and non-oil exports continue to drive strong growth.

Merchandise exports reached SR303.3 billion, making up 56.1% of total trade, while imports were SR237.2 billion, or 43.9%, which resulted in a trade surplus of SR66.1 billion for the quarter.

Petroleum exports remained the main driver, totaling SR207.8 billion and representing 68.5% of all exports. Non-oil domestic exports, not counting re-exports, reached SR57 billion. They fell slightly by 0.4% compared to last year but rose 3.1% from the previous quarter. The modest quarterly rise shows steady demand for Saudi non-oil products.

Re-exported goods delivered one of the strongest performances of the quarter, rising 69.6% year-on-year to SR38.5 billion. Quarterly, re-exports increased by 17.4%, supported by stronger regional trade flows and growing activity at Saudi ports and airports.

Asia remained the Kingdom’s top export destination, receiving SR217.4 billion, or 71.7% of total exports. Europe got SR44.7 billion, Africa SR22.4 billion, and the Americas SR18.3 billion. China was the largest single export partner at SR45.2 billion, followed by the UAE and India.

Non-oil exports, including re-exports, moved through 34 land, sea, and air ports, reaching a total of SR95.5 billion. King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah led the list with SR17.3 billion, followed by Jeddah Islamic Port with SR10.8 billion, showing the Kingdom is growing its logistics capabilities.
