Background

Anb Capital and Lexham Partners have launched a $200 million Growth Fund focused on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, with a strong emphasis on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The fund is designed to back leading technology companies at the growth and pre-IPO stages.

The investment strategy will combine secondary transactions with growth equity. Priority will be given to firms with strong foundations, scalable platforms, and business models that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which promotes digital transformation and economic diversification.

According to Lexham Partners’ Managing Partner Dominic Perks, the region is now entering a “golden era for growth investing.” He said a mix of entrepreneurial talent, capital inflows, and structural reforms is opening up major opportunities for investors and founders. The fund, he added, provides the scale to help build technology companies that can grow beyond the region and compete globally.

Lexham Partners, founded in London, specialises in AI, deeptech, fintech, and healthtech investments. Its portfolio includes companies such as Pragraf, a graphene spin-out from Cambridge University; Oxa, a leader in self-driving technology; Nexeon, an advanced battery technology company; Atom Bank, a UK challenger bank; and Persimmons, Inc., an AI venture founded by Apple’s former head of AI.

Through this partnership, Anb Capital and Lexham aim to expand access to growth financing, strengthen MENA’s venture ecosystem, and accelerate the development of local capital markets.
